[mythtv-users] WD Green drives (was "complete system meltdown")

I've been using a couple of 2TB WD Green drives on a 2 year old mythbackend+frontend machine without any hard-disk problems as far as I'm aware.

For reference here are my numbers:

~$ sudo smartctl -A /dev/sda | grep "^193"
193 Load_Cycle_Count        0x0032   057   057   000    Old_age   Always       -       430024

~$ sudo smartctl -A /dev/sdb | grep "^193"
193 Load_Cycle_Count        0x0032   188   188   000    Old_age   Always       -       36999


I've not used idle3ctl or hdparm at all until now, but I will do so.
