The default password on Ubuntu for the mythtv database isn't mythtv.

Check the /etc/mythtv/config.xml file. The password will be there.

You can either type that password, or make your ~/.mythtv/config.xml a link
to /etc/mythtv/config.xml

Or course you can also change the MySQL password back to mythtv
