 I use --logpath for all of my MythTV logging, I'm guessing that you are
using --syslog, probably "--syslog local7". If so, just change "--logpath
/var/log/mythtv" to "--syslog local7" in the mythcommflag line of your
script and then the script will log the same way that the rest of MythTV
does on your setup.
