About those script you will need rrdtool and if you want to record
sensors(temperature, fanspeed) you need lm_sensors and hddtemp for
disk temperature. Most other things can be grabbed from /prog.
The script runs from your crontab and checks all defined values ones a
minute. Every now and then it creates a graph over the last
day/week/month. I haven't come to making a webpage for viewing.
I have documented most parts. The 4 files go to /etc/rrdtool/
They consist of:
1 the main script rrdtool-script.sh
2 the script with sample functions rrdtool-sample.sh
3 the file with the sample defenitions rrdtool.defs
4 the file with basic configurations rrdtool.conf
The default location for the rrd files is /var/lib/rrdtool-data
and for the graphic files /var/lib/rrdtool-data/cache
but can be changed in rrdtool.conf
You should understand something of rrdtool

I can not guaranty anything, but as far as I know it can not do
damage. If you want them, give me you e-mail and I send them attached.

Tot mails,
