I run a full fletched local isc dns/dhcp based on ldap and linked to
the dns backbone servers and I use gentoo. So little influence from
outsiders on my naming and no trouble with instable provider
dns-servers. I also have my own dedicated firewall / router (fli4l, with a
simple backup dns/dhcp and vpn), because I don't trust the provider
provided routers. They nowadays have all backdoors. The last one even
wanted to force my own dns subnet.
