Hika, Did you have a make / model in mind? I'm assuming the selection of tuner-less TV's at 50" is pretty slim.

I'm looking at replacement TV at the moment as well (Australia) with pretty much same requirements as Karl (although I might go 60" if the price is right).

Karl all I can add at this stage is that I've been told in general that Samsung make the best panels but not all Samsung TV's use a Samsung panel. Sony often use Samsung panels but come at a price. I'm looking to avoid 3D / 4k if it adds to the price. Apparently whether to get 100Hz/120Hz can depend on personal preferences so might need to see it in action first.
