FWIW I'm seeing identical problems on my Fedora system. I did not see these
problem under the combination of the 3.15.10-201 kernel/0.27.3 backend, but
they started appearing when I upgraded to the 3.17.6-200 kernel/0.27.4
backend combination. The same update command pulled in both (and a
subsequent one delete the old kernel) so I can't pull them apart.

However this does indicate a situation where the hardware stayed the same
and a software upgrade took the system from a working to a non-working
state.
