    Nonsense. It's VERY EASY to criticize companies for trying to EXPAND
their rights beyond what the law actually allows. If I am paying them for
something, I expect to be treated with respect and not like a thief. There 
is really no reason for me to do business with or subsidize any company that 
views me with contempt.

    If I have a choice, I will show them the door.

    Somehow cable operators in Europe can manage to stay in business without
being total jack*sses. Even American cable operators managed well without the
modern DRM regime. 

    So clearly the "we must punish everyone for a small minority of hooligans" 
rationale is completely bogus. 

    Your paranoia doesn't give you a right to abuse me.
