The key learning is that everyone on this list should be checking their systems to make sure that recordings are not going to the system partition. Don't check later and then forget, check now. And change it if they are, ask here and people will help. It only takes one accident to cause a big problem. And check your backups are working (and have non-zero file sizes) while you are at it.

Hi Nicolas, sorry to hear you had an issue (and became the case study for others), but hopefully others on this list will heed your example and avoid similar problems. Hope you get your system back on its feet quickly.
