I think I've run smack into the thick Irish cranium again. All of the very
much appreciated suggestions have resulted in various forms of failure. It
seems like I've spent the last month trying to upgrade to 14.04 with
varying tacks, and no joy. Thanks again, 12.04 is supported for a few more
years, and mine works well, so I guess I'll keep it. Ciao for now (I'm
