"Reasonable" is, of course, sometimes based on
personal visual acuity. Some people do not see
artifacts that have driven others crazy.
The chip inside the SiliconDust boxes appears
(by press release) to be the Zenverge transcoder,
which does seem to support deinterlacing
capabilities (and Zenverge actually has some
patents in that area). Whether the SD devices
are "reasonable" will require someone to take
the plunge (and do the side-by-side comparisons).
