I was attempting to do exactly as Stephen suggested. I only copied the
frontend to my Mac. When I run the frontend, it prompts me to update my
database from schema 1119 to 1120.  I am not sure why, because my database
is at schema 1317.  I am running a Mythbuntu .27 backend that is up-to-date
as of a few weeks ago.

MythTV Branch : fixes/0.27
Network Protocol : 77
Library API : 0.27.20140323-1
QT Version : 4.8.1
