Yes.  This was fixed in 8f757eeaf which was committed on 2-Oct-2011 and is
available in fixes/0.25.  Even with the code fix, it is up to the theme to
take advantage of multi-line edits.

Not that I am aware of, but it has been a VERY long time since I used a
version that old.  One *dangerous* option, would be to edit the mythconverg
database directly in mysql.

There have been many significant improvements to the UI since 0.23.  If you
can manage it, I would suggest migrating to 0.27.
