Does that apply to your situation? Firstly your RAID is genuinely stuffed and not 'good but incorrectly flagged as bad'. Secondly you are not booting from RAID but booting from a separate disk? You seem to be ending up at the same endpoint potentially but your path there would seem to be very different to me?
