A alternative at this stage is to modify the VDPAU Playback profile
you are using
and edit each sub-entries to use as decoder: "Default"

this will use FFmpeg to decode, but VDPAU for the rendering, which
still gives you great deinterlacing...

should work just fine on most modern system...
