[mythtv-users] mythtv-setup freezes when capture card menu header is selected

I am in the process of bringing a frontend/slave backend up to
frontend/master through the mythbuntu control centre.  The process seems to
go well until I entered mythtv-setup.  I went through the general settings
and changed the IP addresses.  No problem.  But when I select "2. Capture
Cards" the desktop freezes.  I can flip to other terminals  like
ctrl-alt-f6, but there is no keyboard response within that terminal and no
recovery.  Killing the mythtv-setup process from another terminal has no
effect.

Any help or advice would be appreciated. Below is my mythtv-setup log.  It
