I have a Sony KDL32EX403. It's older and CEC works (kind-of). It's
unlikely that yours won't work to some extent. I found that the TV had
to be told to look for CEC devices before it would talk. Turn on the
pulse-eight and on the TV remote press the Sync button and it should
look around for CEC devices. If you select your it should switch
inputs to that device and then send button presses over. There is some
configuration to be done on the TV to select what buttons to send
(just the arrows or all of them).

You have to use the Sync menu to switch to the CEC enabled device
otherwise the remote buttons won't be passed through. Also the wake
from sleep feature does not work if the TV does not fully power off
before it is switched on. Sony TVs (and maybe others) don't really
switch off straight away. They turn off the screen but stay on for a
few minutes. I guess this is in case you have just sat upon the off
button by mistake. Probably sensible as the TV takes ages to boot
fully (The picture comes on but there are no menus or GUI for about a
minute).

Cheers,
Tim.
