If you change host names during an upgrade, you're supposed to fix the 
database before running any mythtv programs against it, using:
http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/Database_Backup_and_Restore#Change_the_hostname_of_a_MythTV_frontend_or_backend

If you did change your host name and didn't do fix the database first, 
you'll need to do:
http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/Backend_migration#Retiring_an_old_backend
