I second the idea of calling the Cable Card specific number, the main
800 doesn't do very well with Cable Cards at all.  When I call in I
tell them that I have a tivo, when they ask me to check that its
working I tell them that it isn't setup and I'll check afterwards.
You can use Silicon Dust's GUI app to tune channels to test things.
