I'm running Arch / openbox / lxde

and am running Arch's mythtv build. I don't think I've had many issues
with it that are due to Arch. In another thread I mentioned problems
with archiving to DVD - one of them turned out to be with the python
minidom package's prettyxml formatting, and it appears that a later
version of this package (which hasn't made it here yet) fixes that. I
haven't yet gotten past the next problem with archiving to DVD :)
(Well, I have, I used DeVeDe, but I'm hoping to work out the myth
issue at some point.)

But as others said, it's not really an RPM system, and if you are trying
to get away from systemd, arch may not help you. Arch has adopted it
pretty much whole hog. There was some talk at first about maintaining
the older initscripts stuff alongside systemd, but that went by the
wayside and quite a few things in the distribution and the standard
repositories now assume that systemd is present.

I have mixed feelings about systemd but that's neither here nor there.
