The makemkv (>=1.8.5) libmmbd works fine with mythtv..
Mythtv does not show any menus (XBMC can).
BD playback in mythtv is excellent.

Have played multiple recent aacs mkb v35 discs that were otherwise
unplayable by direct means.
The disk playback does start quite a bit slower than native libbluray &
KeyDB etc

BD with aacs mkd v28 or earlier were/are playable with the freely avail
KeyDB file.

I don't have a 3d capable display to test.
