[mythtv-users] Music channels on Comcast cable

While setting up CableCARD today, I noticed that I have a lot of music
channels available now. They are all encrypted but they are available to
my subscription. I tried some of them but they are
unwatchable/unlistenable. A recording is made, but mythfrontend jumps
and skips through it very rapidly, playing snatches as if it is
fast-forwarding at 10x or so and trying to show a sequence of still
video frames. Yet if I take the mpg file and play it with mplayer, it
sounds fine but there is no video content at all).

I get pretty much the same sort of mpg file if I just grab the stream
directly with the homerun utility. Using the gui to note the channel
and program number that was tuned by mythtv, I do, e.g.:

   hdhomerun_config [ip-address] set /tuner1/channel 117
   hdhomerun_config [ip-address] set /tuner1/program 50
   hdhomerun_config [ip-address] save /tuner1 mc.mpg
     [wait a while ... ^C]
   hdhomerun_config [ip-address] set /tuner1/channel none
   mplayer mc.mpg

and there it is again, music and no video.

What should I do to convince mythfrontend to play it?

BTW, trying to watch one of these live is even worse; mythfrontend locks
up and I have to kill it.
