Thanks, Nathan. I'll look for the linuxtv tools. If there were an easy way to run a coax down from the attic, I'd put a big antenna up there, but for now I'm stuck with an amplified indoor. (Amazing: There is one ANALOG TV channel available in my neighborhood. A repeater for the CW affiliate that serves Portland's far-west suburbs. I can watch it on my TV. It looks just like distant TV stations looked when I was a kid.)
