On a precise system, I have
1. installed mkvtoolnix 6.2 from bunkus.org repo
2. installed losslesscut 0.2.2 from Doug's ppa
mediainfo and everything else are from ubuntu and mythbuntu repos. When I
run a test line:
nick at media:~$ sudo -umythtv lossless_cut -f
/mnt/recordings1/recordings/2003_20130508175900.mpg --test
[sudo] password for nick:
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/usr/share/lossless_cut/lossless_cut.py", line 1817, in <module>
sys.stderr.write(errmsg)
File "/usr/share/lossless_cut/lossless_cut.py", line 339, in write
self.out.write(obj)
TypeError: expected a character buffer object
Could this be a python-lxml problem. Doug's wiki page says:
"lxml v2.7.2 or higher (identical to the MythTV python requirements)"
precise installs python-lxml 2.3.2, which seems to match libmyth-python's
requirements, according ubuntu packaging anyway.
Where to now?
