Yes, I'm not looking forwards to that bit. I'll probably try a from-scratch 
install of 12.04 and 0.26 first, work out what front end drivers and tweaks 
are needed, and then do the upgrades knowing where I'm heading.

Yup, it all sounds sensible, I just need to work out which components to 
upgrade and in what order.

Of course, I should maybe do my main server that's on Hardy 8.04 before 
messing with mythtv!
