works perfectly here with 10.8.4

Open a terminal (in Finder: Shift+Command+U) select Terminal and open it.

Now drag & drop the MythFrontend application into the terminal windows.

should add to the command line something like:
/Applications/MythFrontend.app

complete the command line by adding /Contents/MacOS/MythFrontend (you
can use tab to auto-complete)
like:
/Applications/MythFrontend.app/Contents/MacOS/MythFrontend -v
audio,playback,gui --loglevel debug

And start it...
on pastebin.com copy the entire terminal session ...

let's see what's going on
