As someone who used to design GUIs for a living the argument you give above is a 
little thin. You don't need a drop-down box for every single combination of 
circumstances.

Under the Single, Daily, Weekly dropdown you need a two-position Radio Button: 
This Channel/Any Channel.

For SD/HD you need a three-position radio button: SD/HD/Either.
