   My recordings are treated as disposable. I make no special effort to preserve
them. Any form of disk aggregation is just for convenience.

   My database is backed up to every frontend and backend.

   My small (60G) media files  are backed up to every frontend and backend with sufficient space.

   My big (12TB) media files have one backup copy and MythTV uses the backup copy.
