Ok, did more testing tonight!

Xine - DVD movies play with no problems.

VLC - DVD movies play with no problems.

Mythtv - DVD stuttering with VDPAU High Quality, VDPAU Slim, OpenGL
High Quality, OpenGL Slim, Normal... Pretty much everything.  It is
intermittent and does not always happen at the same spot but
eventually it does always happen on select movies.

Again, this only happens with DVD's and not with .mkvs of the main feature...

Frustrating!
