I have setup a PPA with latest fixes/0.26 including the patch for
Ubuntu 12.04 LTS for you (i386 is ready, amd64 should be ready in
3-4 hours) at https://launchpad.net/~dekarl/+archive/mythtv-eac3

If that patch fixes your issue I can commit it.
