Hello list, I have dedicated backend with 4 DVB devices to feed 2 frontends.
This is my DVB adapters:
2xDVB-S2 = 1xUSB and 1xPCIe
2xDVB-T = both USB
I never had problems with DVB-S2, but I have lots of problems with the
DVB-T USB devices, I have lots of them:
KWorld PlusTV Dual DVB-T Stick (DVB-T 399U)
Pinnacle PCTV 72e
Hauppauge WinTV-MiniStick HD
Hauppauge Nova-T Stick
Hauppauge WinTV Duet HD Stick
Avermedia Volar Black HD (A850)
WideView WT-220U PenType Receiver
With all of them I have problem, I don't know if this related to the
driver, firmware, hardware or other thing.
When I add them on the backend, sometimes they work well for 10-15
days. But finally the devices can not lock the channel.
Now I have this devices:
# lsusb
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub
Bus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub
Bus 003 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub
Bus 004 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
Bus 005 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
Bus 006 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
Bus 001 Device 002: ID 2040:7070 Hauppauge Nova-T Stick 3
Bus 001 Device 004: ID 2040:c000 Hauppauge Windham
And this is the error:
# tail -n 5 /var/log/syslog

line: 118: error, urb status -71, 0 bytes

With other devices has similar problems, I am connected remotely and I
can not change the device, I will post later the other device errors.
My system is a Debian Wheezy (3.2.0-4-amd64 kernel) and the backend is
a HP ProLiant MicroServer.
Do you have any problems with this kind of devices? Do yo recommend to
buy a DVB-T PCI device?
I will appreciate your help.
Kind regards.
