I just tested watching LIVE TV HD Channels using the xbmc cmyth pvr client
on xbian 1.0 alpha 4. I was surprised to see it working. It takes awhile
for the PVR to startup maybe 5-10 mins. After it is loaded, then you can
navigate the channels and choose to watch a channel. The stream will then
start. There is some stuttering, but it stabilizes and it
is definitely watchable. I tested a few channels and it seems to work! My
raspberry pi is slightly overclocked. My mythtv backend is using the HDHR
tuners.
I don't think the raspberry pi as a xbmc mythtv client frontend is for
prime time yet, but it definitely is starting to look usable.
