Hmmm works for me in Mythbuntu. I have it in startup script after ALSA gets
initiated and the mythtv user gets auto logged in. I set it to 32768 though
which is the max value for my device (found in
/proc/asound/card0/pcm0p/sub0/max_prealloc file)
