I'm not sure exactly when it started happening but after an update
sometime around (I think) late November MythVideo stopped being able
to play avi files. iso and mkv files seem to be fine, it's just avi
files. The relevant bit of the logs is:

2013-01-02 16:40:37.820368 I  MythEvent: PLAYBACK_START peregrine
2013-01-02 16:40:37.820511 N  Resuming idle timer
2013-01-02 16:40:37.820558 N  Suspending idle timer
2013-01-02 16:40:37.820640 I  Locking input devices

2013-01-02 16:40:37.963015 I  Managed child (PID: 25966) has exited!
command=internal
"myth://Videos@192.168.1.60:6543/Breaking_Bad/Season_2/S02E01.avi",

2013-01-02 16:40:37.963668 I  (0x96812e0)::DecrRef() -> 0
2013-01-02 16:40:37.963761 I  MythEvent: PLAYBACK_END peregrine

Which suggests that it at least tries to start playing but immediately
exits again. The avi files are in the same storage group and have the
same permissions as the mkv files that do play, and they play fine
with an external player (which is how I've been getting around this)
but it would be nice to find out what the problem might be and fix it
if at all possible. This is a pretty stock mythbuntu 12.04.1 install,
Mythtv version v0.26.0-70-gff4edc7 (current 0.26/fixes branch of
mythbuntu).
