I've just picked up this thread from gossamer-threads, so it won't be 
properly threaded.

TTBOMK no myth dev uses MythArchive, so a new Myth version usually comes 
with new bugs.  You might like to look at tickets #11297 and #11299.  I 
don't know how these relate to *buntu.

You don't identify the format of your recordings.  I never use the 
transcoder for SD DVB-T (UK).
