[mythtv-users] How to make the image gallery show MTS files?

My new point and shoot camera takes videos in MTS format (mpeg 2 transport
stream), but these files don't show up in the gallery. If I rename them to,
say, *.mp4 or *.avi. they show up and are playable just fine though. How do
I make the gallery show files with the "mts" extension?
(this is myth 0.24)
