Hello All,

  I use MythTV 0.26/fixes compiled from source on a CentOS 6 machine.
  I have a backend / frontend machine in one room, and a frontend-only
  machine in another (also running the same CentOS version).

  This set up was working fine (mostly), except for occasional
  mythfrontend lock-ups when a video from 'watch videos' menu was
  paused. I asked a question about it some time ago, but we didn't
  manage to track that issue (that discussion was here:
  http://www.gossamer-threads.com/lists/mythtv/users/532544 ).
  (maybe it's unrelated to the question raised in this thread)

  Today my mythfrontend on the server machine stopped responding to
  keyboard or remote. I decided to restart the machine (as it was up
  and running for the last few weeks). Unfortunately, after that the
  frontend didn't work too - it starts with a theme background and
  stays there forever, never actually showing the menu.

  Here is the log: http://a-j.ru/mythtv/mythfrontend.log
  I don't see specific error messages there, although lots of messages
  like:

TaskQueue referencecounter.cpp:114 (IncrRef) - (0x7f8fc400d130)::IncrRef() -> 2
TaskQueue referencecounter.cpp:145 (DecrRef) - (0x7f8fc400d130)::DecrRef() -> 1
CoreContext referencecounter.cpp:114 (IncrRef) - (0x7f8f98162888)::IncrRef() -> 4
CoreContext referencecounter.cpp:145 (DecrRef) - (0x7f8f98162888)::DecrRef() -> 3

  remind me of an issue with a paused video playback.
  But this time no video is started - mythfrontend never gets to the
  main menu at all!

  $ mythfrontend --version
Please attach all output as a file in bug reports.

  I checked mythweb - it was working fine. I also checked remote
  frontend - and it was working fine, too! So it's something with
  mythfrontend specifically on the frontend/backend machine.

  I probably need to say that I did a 'yum update' on the backend
  machine some days ago. But after that the frontend was still running
  fine. I also checked the packages that were changed - they are the
  same versions as currently installed on a frontend-only machine, so
  it shouldn't be the cause of the issue.
  I do not recall any other recent changes - it's a 24/7 machine also
  working as a local web server and it usually doesn't get many changes.

  I would appreciate any suggestions on what could be wrong and how to
  correct it...

Best regards,
 Andrey
