We don't really have a mechanism to do this in MythTV, 
and--generally--doing so is a violation of the terms of service of the 
site that's streaming the broadcast.  For something as long as the F1, 
that's not ideal--but it seems that the providers of that stream don't 
want to make things easy for their customers.

The closest thing we have is Mythnetvision, which will allow download of 
some video, where terms of service allow.  However, this won't really 
help with the F1--especially since Mythnetvision doesn't currently have 
the infrastructure to allow support for for-pay video via HTTP.  :(
