I should probably be clear that the proper setting for "Video aspect 
override" is "Off".  Oh, and "Video aspect override" is in 
Video|Playback settings, not in Appearance settings (but the other 2 are 
in Appearance settings, and only if Xinerama or TwinView is enabled).
