[mythtv-users] mythtv-setup channel scan hang

Hi:

Another thread reminded me that one of my OTA channels moved recently
and that I should rescan. The scan keeps hanging at the same spot,
though. This is 0.27-fixes* scanning an original HDHomerun. It
displays the message "Found 2 new non-conflicting ATSC channels". At
this point, the UI is non-responsive (return, up/down arrows cause no
action) and I have to force-quit the program.

The log ends with:

>2013-12-05 10:48:29.305960 E [35839/45327] HDHRStreamHandler
>recorders/dtvsignalmonitor.cpp:453 (HandleCVCT) -

Not sure if this is normal now or not.

I updated the HDHR's firmware to the latest version (20130328) but
that didn't help. I've restored my database backup for now.

BTW, I find the dialog boxes that pop up after the channel scan to be
particularly obtuse. I've been running Myth for 6 years and I've
never known what the choices "Update all|Update manually|Ignore all"
really mean and when I should choose one over the others. Screen
