Are you perhaps using MythCenter 1.2 and not MythCenter-Wide 1.7?
MythCenter-Wide 1.7 has transparent fan art in the background, if your
metadata is being downloaded properly. Otherwise I don't know why you
don't have transparent fanart.
My modifications are for MythCenter-Wide 1.7.
Yes I added end times as well.
