If your TV has an SCART socket that accepts RGB signals, look into 
VGA-RGB-SCART adapters which will output the best possible signal you 
can get on that TV. I still use a CRT with SD TV too, and use an adapter 
following the instructions on http://www.nexusuk.org/projects/vga2scart/
