It's impossible to tell with the logging your provided earlier to
check if it's related to audio or not.

Have you tried using mythavtest on a video like so:
mythavtest -v audio,playback --loglevel=debug file.mpg

Then start mythfrontend with -v audio,playback --loglevel=debug
