[mythtv-users] Playing In progress IVTV recording

Greetings all

I have a problem in playing in-progress recording coming from an HVR2200
analog connection to a STB. This tuner uses the IVTV driver and works fine
with LiveTV and recordings that have completed.

A typical scenario is as follows:

Recording starts at 21:58 (2 minutes preroll)
Start watching at 22:10 (takes a loooong time to start - 20 seconds +)
At 22:22 the frontend executable freezes for 20+ seconds and then dies.

Note that this is at the point where the recording had got to when
entering playback.

Looks like the endpoint is not updated during the recording and the
frontend gets starved. Not sure why the crash though!! The logs are
confusing with lots of "Waited xxxxmS for video buffers ..." but the
following seg faults stand out:

mythfrontend.20130807104848.3944.log:2013-08-07 23:05:31.574934 C
[3944/3944] CoreContext signalhandling.cpp:305 (handleSignal) - Received
Segmentation fault: Code 2, PID 36761610, UID 0, Value 0x7fb4e7b46872
mythfrontend.20130807110537.4083.log:2013-08-07 23:05:37.606389 I
[4083/4083] thread_unknown signalhandling.cpp:194 (SetHandlerPrivate) -
Setup Segmentation fault handler

Not very useful I know but since this problem has been around for the
whole of 0.26 (for me!) then I guess someone else should be able to
reproduce :)

Cheers
