[mythtv-users] Firewire capture Motorola DCX-3510-M with Shaw Cable

For the sake of completeness, I did manage to get this tuner working, but
I'm not exactly sure how. I just dropped all tuners from MythTV-setup and
readded them. I am not sure why the firewire_tester tool did not work.

Interestingly, Shaw Cable has modified this box (DCX-3510) so that if you
enter the channel number via a remote control for an SD channel it will
tune the corresponding HD channel. So, in my area, ABC Seattle SD is
channel 2, and ABC Seattle HD is channel 200. If you enter 200 via the
remote, the box will do nothing (as if the channel does not exist). If you
enter channel 2, you will see ABC Seattle HD. Unfortunately this is not
implemented across all of Shaw's boxes, the older DCT-6200, will show SD on
2 and HD on 200.

This conflicts with the SchedulesDirect listings, as it (correctly)
indicates ABC Seattle HD is on channel 200. However, as it turns out, when
MythTV sends out channel 200 via firewire, the DCX-3510 box does display
ABC Seattle HD (although channel 2 is shown on the front panel and in the
guide).

So basically essentially the Shaw DCX-3510 behaves differently if you use
the remote vs using the firewire to change channels.
