Check out the 'modchannel' script on www.generationd.com
It removes/hides/renames etc channels based on number, callsign, etc.
And, you can save your settings so if you ever rebuild your myth backend, you just rerun the script and it applies your changes again...

Yes. The easiest approach is mythtv-setup's Channel Editor, then
selecting the bad channel, then hitting D (for DELETE).
