You could try, but it's very unlikely to have any effect.  The issue is 
almost certainly not the code--otherwise a lot of people would have 
issues--but I don't have any guesses, yet, what it might be.

The usual culprits are:
   a) bad DNS
   b) bad firewalls/"content guard" software/...
   c) something else external to MythTV/unrelated to Schedules Direct, 
but that affects your network
