[mythtv-users] EIT missing, howto troubleshoot with DVB-C (Terratec Cinergy)?

Dear MythGurus,

I'm not really a newbie but have been out of the "scene" since 0.22. so
consider me like one.

My mighty mythbox burned it's motherboard and I've without ever since.
Last week decided to get my old DVB-C -cards together and rebuild a new
mythbox with power-bursting P4 and total of three Terratec Cinergy's,
one with TDA10021 and two with TDA10023.
Also one DVB-S card is in there waiting for to get used, cannot
remember the make/model but "dvbsnoop -adapter 0 -s feinfo" shows: "ST
STV0299 DVB-S"

I'm using Debian sid with marillat repos (ex- debian-multimedia)

I used to deal with "trunk" from 0.10 'til 0.22 and kept on rebuilding
on the bleeding edge.
However, I'm propably getting too old as decided to "apt-get install
mythtv" and just tweak some paths&mysql rights.

This gave me version "0.25-dmo2".
I can get the back&frontend up and see channels, can get the
transmission visible but...

The original reason why I got frustrated and forgot this project some
years ago was still there: No EIT, not any kind.

Some debugging (and no, I'd rather not want to go back on real
rebuilding & patching & debugging -level yet) later I can see that:
-Kaffeine can receive and show EPG just fine
-dvbsnoop can receive the EIT just fine (eg. "dvbsnoop -adapter 1 18"
gives plenty of data)
-I've activated all "Use EIT" settings (per channel and video input)
-cleared channels few times from database and done the usual tricks
using channels.conf and not using channels.conf

-mythbackend -v eit --loglevel debug gives only:

2012-09-15 11:19:12.157565 I EITScanner (1): Now looking for EIT data
on multiplex of channel 1
2012-09-15 11:19:12.157630 I EITCache: Pruning all entries that ended
before UTC 2012-09-14T11:20:26
2012-09-15 11:19:12.157642 I EITCache: Deleting old cache entries from
the database
2012-09-15 11:19:12.920742 I EITScanner (1): Started passive scan.
2012-09-15 11:19:32.846547 I EITScanner (3): Now looking for EIT data

...and so on.

But still no EPG.

My cable provider (KPO/Kaisanet) uses basically same transport streams
as "fi-dna" found from /usr/share/dvb/dvb-c/
QAM128, 6875 & QAM256, 6875

I've done some googling, did few quick searches on mailing list archive
but cannot find anything on missing EIT within a year.
Also no particularly active bugs related to this can be found from
trac, so I assume I'm just doing something wrong, as it usually is when
you're dealing with linux, eh :)

So where and how should I go next ?
