Well you _could_ do that, but that would just be stupid. If you want to
record digital TV, get a digital TV tuner (which the HVR-1950 is).
However, my point was that MythTV is not designed to record arbitrary
video. It is designed to record scheduled television with guide data.
You can use it to manually record off all those other devices, but you
would be much better off with a simpler utility. The HVR-1950 will
create a device node, /dev/video0, on your system. You can simply
concatenate that to a file to produce an MPEG2 video.
