[mythtv-users] MythTV on Android

Paul,

This is not on the market yet because I want clear approval form the core
mythtv dev's about use of the name, etc. before we put it out there.

The app does load the data locally to a db on the phone/tablet, but you
really can't do much with the app without being connected to the backend.
 I will think about the possibility of using it without a network
connection, but I am struggling with a use case.  What specifically would
you like to do offline?  Programs are streamed on demand from the backend,
so I am not sure how you would be able to use the app to watch programs
offline.  I would recommend MythExport which allows you to transcode the
recordings down to a smaller format and can be access via rss and a
podcatcher to get the programs locally on your phone/tablet.
